With over 5,500 certified practitioners globally and 300,000 people actively using Claude across the firm, this is not an organisation dipping its toe into AI. It is one of the most serious enterprise Anthropic environments on the planet. In Australia, the Anthropic practice is now in active build phase, and this is an opportunity to be part of it from the ground up.

This is a rare thing in the Australian market: a practice being built with genuine scale, genuine backing, and genuine demand behind it. The clients are real, the mandates are live, and the MD building this team has full hiring authority

and a clear target to have the core team in place by October. If you have shipped real AI automation work on Claude and you want to do it at enterprise scale, this is the role.

The role

This hire is open across three levels. Responsibilities differ by seniority but the through-line is the same: you have built real things on Claude, you can talk through what you built and why, and you can hold a conversation with a client

about it.

Senior Consultant

• You are hands-on and technically sharp.
• You have shipped production agentic AI systems using Claude and can walk through the architecture, the challenges, and the outcomes clearly.
• Day to day you will be building and deploying AI automation use cases for enterprise clients, working across agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and LLM-integrated applications.
• You will be embedded in client engagements, contributing technically and growing your ability to engage with stakeholders as you go.

Manager / Associate Manager

• You have been doing this for a few years and have started leading delivery, not just contributing to it.
• You can manage a small team of engineers while staying hands-on, and you are comfortable in client-facing situations.
• You bring structure to how AI automation is designed and deployed, and you can translate a client problem into a technical approach and back again.
• You are the connective tissue between the senior architects and the engineers doing the build.

Senior Manager

• You combine deep technical delivery with genuine commercial presence.
• You have led AI automation programmes end to end, you have sat in rooms with senior client stakeholders and held your own, and you can articulate complex AI use cases in plain language without losing the technical credibility.
• You will help shape how the Anthropic practice approaches new client engagements, contribute to the development of repeatable assets and patterns, and play a key role in growing the team beneath you.

What you will bring

• Hands-on production experience building and deploying AI automation using Anthropic's Claude, direct API or via AWS Bedrock
• Experience with agentic AI system design: multi-agent orchestration, tool use, RAG pipelines, vector databases
• Strong Python and cloud experience, AWS preferred
• The ability to clearly explain what you have built, how you built it, and what the outcome was. This matters as much as the technical depth
• Claude Certified Architect credential preferred, strong production delivery considered equally
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Good to have:

• LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar orchestration frameworks
• MCP server experience
• Prior consulting or client-facing delivery background
