The role
Are you a Senior .Net Engineer or Tech Lead, that’s based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney? We have a great new role for someone that’s generally worked around the .Net stack for most of their career but also helped technical teams deploy to cloud. This role is for a nationwide SAAS / Digital Marketing business with customers all over the country.
The role is paying in the $140k-$145k+Super range (negotiable). One thing to point out is that we do ideally want this person in the office, to start with. Then after a few months, can be more flexible. The role is probably 70% hands on and the rest of the role, helping/leading a small .Net team of 3 developers.
Perhaps coding is currently 100% of your role but you enjoy the people side / dealing with product teams and are mature / experienced enough to take that leap to a Lead role?
The right candidate for this role will be a driving force of technical architecture, design and quality standards across Product Development. You will play the role of Agile Practitioner/Coach, spreading new beliefs as well as good principles and practices, helping transform the team from the inside out.
You would work with the CTO to design MicroServices, design APIs, drive architectural standards, work on deployment practices CD/CI tools & AWS and help mentor the team on code testability.
Here’s a few aspects / responsibilities to the role;
- Help mid level developers, become better developers
- Work with product owners and the CTO on what new tech to bring into the business and how that would work
- Produce well designed, high quality solutions that deliver measurable business value & achieve business goals
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement across .Net, Cloud and DevOps
- Drive correct design principles like SOLID, BDD, TDD, Agile & Automated testing. Also be a key contributor for architecture and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of deploying solutions to the cloud in AWS or Azure.
- Drive a culture of learning, helping others through pair-programming, attending network events and open communication.
